Remorseful punishment of Zionist enemy will be realized: IRGC
TEHRAN - The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has expressed gratitude for the Iranian populace's participation on Quds Day, affirming that the remorseful punishment of the criminal Zionist enemy will be realized.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the IRGC also conveyed appreciation for the public's attendance at the burial ceremony of Iranian military advisors who lost their lives in the attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus.
The statement humbly acknowledged God for bestowing pride and honor upon the great nation of Iran amid yet another significant trial.
According to the statement, the steadfast presence of the Iranian people stands as a symbol of hope and support for the Palestinian cause and the resilient population of Gaza.
Highlighting the participation of the Iranian people in the Quds Day rally, the statement emphasized the message conveyed by the public's presence, reaffirming the righteousness of Palestinian resistance and condemning the oppression faced by the Gazans.
Moreover, the statement underscored the significant turnout of Iranians in the Quds Day rally as a clear denouncement of the crimes committed by the Zionist regime.
"We assure the heroic and revolutionary nation of Iran that the zealous members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps will, with God's grace, fulfill the national demand for the remorseful punishment of the Zionist enemy and its supporters for their recent cowardly terrorist attack in Damascus."
Last week, the Israeli regime launched an assault on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 7 individuals, including General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a prominent commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Quds Force.
General Zahedi, who held esteemed status within Iran's military ranks, served in key leadership roles within both the IRGC ground and air forces before assuming command of the elite Quds branch operating in Syria and Lebanon. He was identified by Israeli television as a prime target for assassination by the regime on multiple occasions.
Additionally, General Hossein Aminallah, Chief of Staff of the IRGC Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, and Brigadier General Haj Rahimi, a trusted confidant and deputy of General Zahedi, were also among those killed in the attack.
